Try first: The bestseller and the city's most popular Instagram dish is the dessert named 'Mama's favourite flower' (550 rubles), though you should start with 'Coated Crab' salad (890) and ‘Axe Porridge’ (the Russian idiom taken as the name of this dish is similar to English ‘stone soup’) (650). Every Thursday at 7 pm the chef Igor Grishechkin presents his brand new ideas within his chef’s table (5000).
New Russian Cuisine: St.Petersburg has its reputation of the capital of coffee, as every Monday starts with espresso, every walk comes with cappuccino and there is no life without caffeine here. CoffeeLab is one of the variety of specialty coffee shops with the coffee machine, six ways of alternative brewing, cold brew and cascara, a wonderful coffee lambic, coffee tea and coffee lemonade, coffee lectures and cappings and degustations of coffee with wine which is also in the menu.
Try first: The main rule is not to order the standard cappuccino as there is a lot of brand new coffee positions in the menu (drinks from 130-350 rubles). There is a Bouchet cafe and bakery downstairs where you can order excellent bakery and outstanding homemade cheese.
New Russian Cuisine: Pioneers of a gastro bar genre with a small and bright menu and interesting, though still not famous, wines. Here, there is little space with tough sitting, casual service and friendly prices. You must book everything even if you are Bradley Cooper. Visit and understand why the chef Dmitry Blinov is considered a hero of gastronomic St.Petersburg.
Try first: Beef bread with bulgur and celery (490 rubles) and baked carrots (390) have been the bar's hits since its opening in 2014. The most actual positions are green risotto with broccolli (490) and cabbage in truffle sauce (390).

New Russian Cuisine: The first and only St.Petersburg restaurant offering only craft set menu since 2012. No a la carte or choice at all — you just have to trust the chef, pay 4000 rubles and enjoy the gastronomic show in six parts. Everything, from bread to coffee, is made in Aga metal oven. The menu depends on the season and changes every month. The home restaurant of Edward Muradyan, whose initials make the project's name, works from Tuesday to Saturday since 7 pm.
Try first: The restaurant's chef Olesya Drobot has her brave and interesting attitude. If you have doubts on your gastronomic knowledge level, order a short set of three dishes for 2300 rubles for the first time. A vegetarian version is also available, but you need to mention it in your booking.
New Russian Cuisine: The first St.Petersburg vegetable fine-dining with original cabbage positions, bright asparagus images and ideal eggplants. At the same time, Harvest is not a vegetarian item, artisan meat and fish recipes can also be found there. The interior is a pleasure itself, similar to Hide in London, though we love it for its textures and warm colors, which are so rare in grey St. Petersburg.

Try first: Up to 15 draft wines are on the menu every day (from 290 rubles) presented by sommeliers, so you would find something suitable for you. Don’t miss the homemade sausage cooked on old standards (though it’s hard to miss it as you won’t stop after one glass of wine).
